n     1990- present: Professor Coordinator, Psychology Department. Elective course on Intervention Strategies in Childhood and Adolescent Disorders for Undergraduate Seniors. One-year  or 36 week engagement. 2 cr./hr.

n     1984-89, 1996-97: Professor Instructor Psychology Department Practical Training in School Psychology for undergraduate 4th year juniors. Engagement per course 36-week / 4cr. Tasks included direct supervision of student practical training at the Public School Eutimio Rivas, in la Guairita, Miranda, and classes at UCAB, Caracas (10 hrs. per week)

n     1984-present: Research thesis adviser, expert-judge and consultant in the development, translation, adaptation and standardization of various assessment instruments for Venezuelan populations, specifically in the areas of: reading skills, self-concept, attention deficit disorders, social skills, and adaptive behavior. 1994- present           Proyecto ARMONÍA                                          Caracas, Venezuela.

n     Co-founder, President and Educational Coordinator of Proyecto Armonía, an organization devoted to educational consultation, teacher training, preventive programs and train-the-trainer workshops related to character education, social-emotional development.

n     Development, translation and adaptation of more 1,000 experiential and cooperative games for teachers, counselors and school psychologists related to the Venezuelan school system needs. Creation of teacher manuals

n     Trained over 500 professionals as “facilitators and trainers in experiencial learning” in the schools, particularly in relation to social-emotional development of preschoolers, elementary and middle school children.

n     Advisor, consultant and staff trainer of teachers for the Crecer con Valores (“Growing up with Values”) program for preschoolers and elementary school students and teachers in “Colegio Moral y Luces” and “Hebraica Moral y Luces” schools in Caracas. This program reached more than 1,200 students and 300 teachers from 1997-2002.

n     Trained and/or coordinated in-service and workshop training for more than 5,000 teachers nationwide in the following areas: curriculum planning for the development of social/ conflict management skills; character education; and communication training; and teambuilding strategies for teachers.

n     Conducted workshops and seminars for more than 7,500 parents, students, camp directors, camp coordinators and camp counselors nationwide.

n     Appointed by the Academic Vice-President of the University, Dr. Miriam Valdivieso, to evaluate and submit a proposal of Curricular Reform to the Graduate Program in Child Development CIEPI-UCAB (1994, 1997).

1996- present   DOCENTES EN ARMONÍA

n     Program Director. Senior Consultant of Proyecto Armonía. Description: Year long teacher training and school consultation program that incorporates experiential learning, character education, and social skills development to the school curriculum. Includes “Armonía en Preescolar” and “Armonía en el Aula” (Preschool and School Age training packets). Applied initially in six K-9 schools in Venezuela (public and private). Armonía en el Aula is applied in many educational institutions in the country. Trained near to 1,800 teachers to date.

1997-2000         CRECER CON VALORES                  

n     Consultant and Training Coordinator of Proyecto Armonía for the Crecer con Valores Program for Character Education K-6 Created by “Moral y Luces School”. Trained 90 teachers. Impact on 450 children. Crecer con Valores is a model program in Venezuela for social-emotional development that incorporates experiential learning and  emotional intelligence in school programming and teacher programming..

1998-2000         Professional Teacher Training Program “Gonzalo Benaim Pinto”

n     Project Director and Senior Trainer. Description: a teacher training program and high school consultation project for the development, leadership training, and teambuilding of High school personnel. Pilot national Programs: Moral y Luces and San Agustin-El Paraiso High Schools.

1996-98                        ATENEA Foundation for Abandoned and Neglected Children

n     Program Director and Senior Trainer. A consultation project for personnel of Atenea Foundation. Objective: staff training; social-emotional development, communication training, social skills, values, and conflict management through experiential learning and adventure activities.
